JAMMU: Annual inter-school under-19 boys Taekwondo competition of Jammu District, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) concluded at Indoor Complex of the MA Stadium, here on Wednesday. In the meantime, in same age group of boys, the left out events of fencing were also decided today under the guidance of technical panel. The Results:
TAEKWONDO: 45 Kg: Gopal Mehra of HS Jain HSS, Ist. 50 kg: Rahul of Project Model, Ist; Amar singh of APS Kalu Chak, 2nd. 54 kg: Ajay Kumar of Green Wood, Ist. 58 kg: Pawan Kumar of Adarsh Niketan, Ist and Ankush of Model Academy, 2nd. 62 kg: Gourav Chhetri of CB HSS, Ist and Shivansh of JSS, 2nd. 66 kg: Abhilash Raina of JSS, Ist. 70 kg: Narayan Sharma of Mother India, Ist. 70 kg: Aruna Mehra of Jain School, Ist.
FENCING: Under-19: SABRE: Rudhra Partap Singh of NIIT Talab Tillo, Ist; Udoyveer of Unique Public School, 2nd; Amit of Shiv Public School and Parth, joint 3rd. EPEE: Saksham of DPS, Ist; Munish of Ranbir HSS, 2nd; Sahil of NIIT and Swan of GHSS Gandhi Nagar, joint 3rd. FOIL: Rabnawaz of GHSS Ranbir, Ist; Saksham of MHAC Nagbani School, 2nd; Ajay of HSS Ghou Manhasan and Praney of MHAC Nagbani, joint 3rd. Fencing completion was officiated by the technical panel comprising Shefali Gupta, Ujjwal Gupta, Anthony Matoo, Abdul Quadir and Tonny Matoo.
Meanwhile, the competition in the other disciplines of Martal Art, Thang Tha, Wushu and Rugby for Girls under-19 age group commenced today at the same venue, a handout issued here today said.
