SUNDERBANI: Two-day Inter-School Tournaments of Sunderbani and Uppar Hathal Zone commenced at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Sunderbani, here on Tuesday.
A tournament of Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi and Wrestling in age group of u/14 boys section held under the supervision of Naveen Agarwal, Director General, Youth Services and Sports, J and K.
The tournament was inaugurated by Balwant Raj Sharma, Vice-Principal of the School who stressed upon the importance of games and sports.
Jaswant Singh ZEPO, Sunderbani and R.C Sharma, ZEPO Lower Hathal were also present.
About 160 students of 11 schools of Sunderbani Zone and five schools of Lower Hathal Zone took part in the games.
Sunderbani Zone: kabbadi: Middle School, Sunderbani defeated Middle School, Sodra. Volleyball: Middle School Sunderbani beat High School Peli. Kho-Kho: Middle School, Laman outplayed Middle School Sunderbani by four points.
Lower Hathal zone: Volleyball: Middle School Bandrai defeated Middle School Upper Hathal by 2-1 sets. Kabbadi: Middle School, Bandrai beat Middle School Mawa by four points. Kho-Kho: Middle School Mawa trounced Middle School, Badrai by four points.
