SPORTS REPORTER
REASI: Organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), the inter-school (boys and girls under-14 and under-17) fencing meet of district Reasi concluded at Amba Kids Home Panthal, here on Friday.
About 80 fencers drawn from different educational institutions participated in this meet. Director Sports Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Katra, Ashok Kumar Sharma was Chief Guest while President, J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association and Joint Secretary J and K State Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma was Guest of Honour.
Both the special guests encouraged young fencers and the Chief Guest advised the fencers to maintain their skills.
Others present were district officer Reasi, Dr S.S Chib, ZPEO Chassana, Manohar Lal Sharma, Principal Amba Kids Home Panthal, Ashwani Katoch, Ravi Kumar, Anil Singh, Ashoka Kumari, Rajnu Badyal, Anjali Devi.
The matches were officiated by Ajay Kumar, Hardeep Bhagat, Rohit Kumar and Kamal Kumar.
