Inter school district level tournaments GGHSS Kirian emerges as champions in martial art

KATHUA: Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Kirian emerged as overall champion in martial art for u/14 and 17 years in girls category while Government High School (GHS) Airwan remained as runner up in the inter school competitions organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Sports Stadium, here on Thursday.
The tournament was held under the directions of Joint Director Madan Lal and supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Kathua, Sunil Kumar.
In boys section, St Paul HSS Haripur of Hiranagar Zone became champion of U/14 and 17 years and Little Angels School Dyalachak remained runner up.
Similarly BVP Kootah of Zone Hiranagar emerged over all champion of Karate in all age groups and categories and Government MS Kalibari remained runner up.
As many as 63 players of different schools of district participated in the events.
