Inter-house swimming competition held at JKPS Kathua

KATHUA: An Inter house swimming competition for junior and senior boys and girls was organised at JK Public School Kathua. The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Principal of the School, Anil Pathania.
Around 20 boys and girls from four houses participated in the competition. Amongst the junior boys Youvraj Singh Andotra stood first while in senior boys the first position was bagged by Nitish Sharma. In junior girls Sanya Chowdhary stood first while in senior Sheetal Jasrotia bagged the first prize. Perfection House bagged the overall trophy.
Anil Pathania said that swimming is not only a game but it is also a health education.
“The ability to swim is an important survival skill, but swimming provides a number of health and fitness benefits as well. Swimming is one of the few fitness activities that allows participates to engage every muscle in the body,” he said. He congratulated the winners for the splendid effort.
