Inter-House debate held at JP World School

JAMMU: To prepare the students to face the challenges of 21st century, J.P World School, Channi Himmat, on Tuesday organised an Inter-House English Debate Competition in school premises.
The students of classes 5th to 10th participated in it under three-sub junior, junior and senior categories.
‘Homework should be banned in schools’, ‘History is an important subject for the school students’, ‘Technology is the key to success’ were the topics of the debate for sub junior, junior and senior category respectively.
Jitinder Singh Hundal, the School Principal played the role of the Chairperson of the debate. Contestants were assessed on the basis of their confidence, reasoning and evidence, expression and delivery, listening and responding etc.
Amara, Fawad, and Shivi in Senior, Pushvinder, Lawanya and Wasif in junior and Maria, Robinder and Khusmeet in sub junior category were declared as first, second and third respectively.
Ravi House lifted the overall inter-house English Debate Trophy while Tawi stood first runner up.
The vote of thanks was
presented by Tawlin Kaur, the Organising Secretary of the debate.
