JAMMU: The men’s Cross Country event shall mark the beginning of annual inter-college competitions of University of Jammu (JU), organised by Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, on the campus here on 22nd August.
It will be followed by the women’s Cross Country competition at the same venue at the given time of 7:00 AM on 23rd August, officials sources informed.
Two more events shall start on the opening day of 22nd August. These events are Kho-Kho and Chess in both men and women sections at different venues on the Campus, here.
Earlier, the fixture, which is still in the process of finalisation, was discussed in a meeting of the Physical Training Instructors (PTIs) from affiliated colleges of JU. The meeting, that took place on 29th July at the Directorate of Sports, was chaired by Director Sports, Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia.
