JAMMU: The combined side of Post Graduate (PG) Departments and GCW Parade bagged men and women’s titles respectively in the inter-college handball tournament, the finals of which played on the University of Jammu (JU) Grounds, here on Thursday.
In the men’s title clash, PG Departments defeated Government SPMR College of Commerce by a wafer thin margin 22-21. In women’s final, GCW Parade trounced GCW Gandhi Nagar 11-01 in a one-sided contest.
The finals were officiated by the technical panel including Sudesh Kumar, Kapil Sagotra, Taqdir Singh, Amit Sharma, Gourav Sharma and Vinay Sharma.
Director Sports and Physical Education, Prof. Avtar Singh Jasrotia gave away the title trophies. Among others present were Sumnesh Sharma, Suman Sharma, Gagan Kumar, Vikas Karlopia, P.D Singh and Jai Bharat.
