JAMMU: Imtiyaz Ahmad of IRP 10th Bn clinched the long distance race gold in the 5,000 meters event on the second day of the Inter-Battalion Sports Meet of Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police (JKAP) that got underway at different venues, here on Sunday.
Second place went to Rajinder Singh of IRP 14th while Ajaz Ahmad of IRP Ist remained third in 5,000 meters event held at MA Stadium, here.
Meanwhile, in team event of Basketball, JKAP 9th and IRP 17th won their respective matches to advance into the next round of the competition held at Gulshan Ground, here. Results: JKAP 9th beat IRP 20th by 10 (26-16) points and IRP 17th defeated IRP 4th by 17 (34-17) points.
