JAMMU: Asserting that the institutions run by banned organizations across the nation are functioning as the breeding grounds of terrorists and terrorism, former Dy Chief Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Kavinder Gupta has overwhelmingly welcomed the decision of Jammu and Kashmir Govt ordering the closure of 300 schools associated with the banned Jamaat-e-Islami affiliated Falah-e-Aam (FAT) across Jammu and Kashmir in the next 15 days.
While addressing media persons during his tour of some areas of Gandhi Nagar constituency, the former Deputy Chief Minister said that today there is a dire need to seal all the institutions which are being run by banned organizations across the nation as these are being funded by foreign countries including the neighbour Pakistan and have become fertile breeding grounds of terrorism and anti-national activities in this peaceful nation. He asserted that the aforesaid institutions have formed a strong chain with the sole motive to function as nurturing nurseries for terrorists through motivation to conduct anti-national activities and terror attacks in vulnerable and sensitive locations across the nation.
The senior BJP leader asserted that whenever there have been terror attacks or blasts, during the ensuing investigation some clues clearly lead to the aforesaid institutions. Even the recent investigations in terror funding cases have provided sufficient evidence of involvement of these institutions in the enemies’ game plans to bleed India.
Kavinder stated that the decision of closure of 300 schools in Jammu and Kashmir is beyond any doubt a wise decision and the same should be emulated pan-India in the interest of the nation and its people.
Meanwhile during his today’s tour Kavinder Gupta visited Sanjay Nagar and Shastri Nagar areas to take stock of the problems and issues of the people. During his interaction with the residents of these areas, they highlighted their woes especially related to scarce power and water supply in the scorching summer days besides dilapidated condition of some lanes and drains. After listening to them patiently, the BJP leader assured them of taking up the matter with the concerned authorities and getting the same resolved at the earliest.
Later the former Dy CM also inaugurated Chhabeels and Bhandaras organized on the occasion of Sankranti in several areas of Gandhi Nagar Constituency. He said that Chhabeels and Bhandaras are organised for the people irrespective of caste creed or colour considerations and promote community integration.
