Initiate criminal proceeding against forgery in PSC: Virender

JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) expressed serious concern on the report published in the print media that all out efforts are being made to hush up the illegal activities in State Public Service Commission.
BJP spokesperson, Prof Virender Gupta said when preliminary inquiry conducted into the forgery of policy documents of the commission by the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) explicitly established forgery of policy documents by Public Service Commission, the Crime Branch would have no other option but to register the formal FIR against some members and officials involved in the deep rooted conspiracy, in order to deprive Jammu of its due share in the selection against gazetted posts in various department.
Virender said that the chairman of Public Service Commission instead of allowing the due process to follow asked for re-investigation of the matter. However, when the Director FST constituted a three-member committee of forensic experts and the committee not only corroborated the earlier findings but also included the other points, the Chairman, State PSC after knowing the observations and findings of the committee again intervened, he said.
As per the report the chairman approached the Director FSL asking for further examination of the documents and requested for getting the process done only in Kashmir.
The spokesperson raised question against the intentions of PSC Chairman of hushing of the case, that may open the pandora’s box of irregularities committed by PSC. He said that repeated intervention of the chairman casts doubts on his bona-fide and added that he does not want to have fair investigation for the reasons best known to him.
In the light of above he asked for sacking Chairman PSC and suspending other members and officials involved in the conspiracy. He also asked to discharge the retired officers, working in state PSC.
