RAJOURI: A galaxy of renowned and budding poets and artists of this border district today enthralled a jam packed audience, including students, during a multilingual Mushaira organised by Information Centre, Rajouri here at Elite Public Higher Secondary School Saj.
The function was presided over by Principal of the School, Shabir Ahmed.
The poets Nasir Hussain Feda, Lal Hussain Parvaiz, Abdul Kareem, Mohammad Rafiq, Muzamil Hussain Shah, Danish Khan, Prabhat Bali, Sahil Mehra and Sanjay Kumar recited poetic works in Hindi , Urdu, Punjabi and local dialects.
The poetic works underlining the social, moral and human issues won great applause from the audience. The multilingual poetic session was followed by a scintillating cultural show presented by artists of the Information Department.
The aim of the programme was to generate importance of “communal harmony among young generation”.
Principal of the school, while speaking on the occasion, hoped that the experience of listening poetic works would develop literary taste and creativity among the students. He thanked Information Department for organising the programme and suggested to organise such events in remote areas too.
Panchs, Sarpanchs besides prominent citizens and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
