Inflation due to govt’s economic policies, alleges Pilot
Jaipur:- Rajasthan state Congress chief Sachin Pilot today alleged that economic policies of the BJP-led NDA government were responsible for rising inflation.
“Due to the government’s policies wholesale inflation rate has touched 3.39 per cent,” said Pilot in a statement adding that despite low prices of crude oil in international market, government is burdening people by increasing prices of petrol and diesel.
Upping his ante against demonetisation and terming it as a surgical strike on the common man, Pilot said that people were already agitated and increasing fuel prices four times in last two months has made their lives miserable.
He said that it is clear that hiking fuel prices increases inflation as transportation cost and electricity cost has put a burden on the people.
Demonetisation and increased fuel prices have directly affected spending power of people, Pilot said.
Meanwhile, the Congress will stage a protest tomorrow at the RBI office on Tonk Road.
