JAMMU: Imagine a situation, where you have all the luxuries of life but you have none around you, you can rely on and call them “yours”. No family, no friends, not even a single acquaintance. Hard to imagine right! With these words Aryan of Grade XE brainstormed the audience in the morning assembly.
“Agree or not, social relationships are judgmental to the well-being of human kind. They provide a support system helping us navigate our lives, assuring us the comfort and sense of belonging. We live in a highly diverse society. We need to remember, diversity is not just about numbers, it is about valuing and recognizing the unique contribution that each individual brings to the table. Fostering open dialogue and encouraging communication among different people, not only strengthen the bonds of community, but also create a brighter and more inclusive future”, pitched in Anahita with her poetic effusion.
Reflecting further on the topic, Aryan added, “Regrettably, we are a part of fast paced and digitally connected world where the equation of social relationships is gradually yet significantly vanishing, bifurcating our ideology on the terms of religion, social and economic background, caste and gender. Fostering such relationships and creating a cohesive society is to create an environment where we don’t just live side by side, we live together”.
Adarshpreet Singh recited a self-composed poem on the theme “Unity in Diversity:
Bharat ki dharti, rang birangi chhataa,
Har kone mein basi ek anokhi kathaa.
Dharohar ki dhaaraa, sanskriti ka sang,
Samaaj mein milta hai, ekta ka ang.
Saagar ki lahrein, parvaton ki unchai
Ganga ki pavitrata, Yamuna ki parchhai
Nadiyon ka sangam, Milan ki baat,
Har sanskriti, har dharm mein
Basi ekta ki sougaat.
Hindu ki pooja, muslim ki namaaz,
Sikh ki ardaas, Isaai ki prarthana ka ehsaas.
Sabhi ke dilon mein basti hai ek sachchai
Hindu, Muslim, Sikh ho ya Isaai.
Dharmik tyohaaron ka ye Bhaaratvarsh
Diwali, Eid, Gurpurv, aur Christmas ka parv.
Har parv mein chhipi hai Milan ki mithas,
Sabhi dharmon ka sangam, deta prem ka ehsaas.

Bhaarat hamaaraa guroor hai, aan-baan-shaan hai,
Hum sabko is Bhaarat mein hi toh rehnaa hai.
Aao milkar vividhta mein ekta ko apnayein,
Hum Bhaaratwasi milkar ek NAYA BHAARAT banayein.
Principal JKPS Kunjwani, Rajesh Rathore applauded students for portraying the panoramic view of our diversified cultural heritage so vividly. He praised profusely the short skit presented by the students, wherein they displayed four pieces of a jig-saw puzzle, the four pillars of diversity, namely, the North demonstrating culture; South demonstrating Religion, East reflecting Language, West portraying Cuisine & Costumes and Central portion demonstrating Fraternity and thus formed the heart of India – Social cohesion.
“Social cohesion and diversity are not mutually exclusive; they are complimentary forces that cultivate together yielding a vibrant culture. Undoubtedly, India’s diverse tapestry thrives on the spirit of fraternity, uniting its people in a shared vision of progress and harmony”, he concluded.
