Indian Navy Day celebrated at JKPS Panjtirthi with fervour

JAMMU: Indian Navy Day is celebrated to honour the efforts & role of the Indian Navy in Operation Trident conducted during the Indo-Pakistan war in 1971.
Indian Navy Day was celebrated at JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi with much fervour.
The programme commenced with a speech on significance of the day highlighting the might of Indian Navy and its vital roles in maintaining maritime security to the nation.
Jakiians sang a patriotic song on Indian Navy followed by a skit in which the valour and the war tactics of Indian Navy was portrayed.
Jakiians explained to the audience that the Indian Navy is a three-dimensional force that operates above, on, and under the ocean’s surface to safeguard our country’s interests. Its main agenda is to improve its state of affairs in the Indian Ocean Zone.
The Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah saluted the indomitable spirit, dedication, selfless service and supreme sacrifice of Indian Navy personnel.
She further wished, “May our Naval forces continue to sail with pride and protect our shores.”
