JAMMU: In a dazzling display of skill and determination, the Indian Hawks Roller Skating Club (IHRSC) has firmly established its supremacy in the national skating arena, with Kartikeya Puri clinching the coveted top slot in India in quads category. This remarkable achievement is further underscored by seven other skaters of the club securing top rankings in their respective individual age categories in Roller Skating Federation of India’s (RSFI) Ranking for 2023-24. The stellar performance of the Indian Hawks is a testament to the dedication and hard work of its members, who have tirelessly honed their skills to compete at the highest level. Kartikeya’s achievement of securing the top spot in India is a crowning glory for the club and a reflection of his exceptional talent and commitment to the sport. Other skaters who proved their mettle by showcasing supremacy in national ranking charts in individual age groups include Samarjot Singh, second and Surya Bhaskar eleventh position in above 17 years age group, Udhay Narayan first in 14-17 age group, Prageet Kour fourth in 14-17 years age group, Puneesh Puri second in 11-14 age group, Sanvi Grover fifth in 11-14 age group and Ahana Gupta ninth in 9-11 age group.
Meanwhile, in Sahodaya School Competition held at JK Public School Kathua, the IHRSC skaters left the sports lovers spellbound by clinching 7 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals in both inline and quads categories.
The medal winners who made the difference through their stellar performances include Adwait, Aryansh, Sanvi Grover, Adhira and Puneesh Puri in quads category, and Tabish and Tamanna Saini in Inline category.
