Dear Editor,
The statement by Shakespeare: “Sweet are the uses of adversity” describes the grim condition prevailing in Kashmir. Even as the heart-rending scenes of devastation caused by flashfloods are painful, the valiant soldiers working day and night to save people at the risk of their own life make one feel proud. Merciless nature has revealed the merciful face of the Indian Army which, unfortunately, most Kashmiris never get tired of cursing on one pretext or the other. Hope the valour and selfless commitment demonstrated by our soldiers will not go down the drain and it will usher in an era of sweet change in the hearts of Kashmiris.
