India will never forget sacrifice of valiant soldiers: Kavinder

JAMMU: Former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta along with former minister Sat Sharma, District President BJP Viney Gupta and others paid glorious tributes to Brigadier Rajinder Singh during a programme held at Rajinder Park Canal Road Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta said that Jammu is a land of brave Dogras who valiantly fought against the enemy and felt pride in serving the nation. He said that Brigadier Rajinder Singh saved Kashmir from falling in the hands of Pakistani raiders in 1947 and laid down his life fighting the enemy.
“Brig Rajinder Singh of the erstwhile J&K State Forces, with little man power at his disposal at the time of Tribal raid in Kashmir, fought valiantly to stop further advancement of Pakistani tribesmen to enter in the territory of erstwhile J&K State and saved life of many citizens of the State, especially the public of the Kashmir Valley,” he said.
The former deputy Chief Minister said that the country will never forget the supreme sacrifice made by the valiant soldiers of Indian Army. The indebted nation has all along been bowing their heads with respect and deep esteem for the sacrifices made by soldiers, he said, adding that martyrs will continue to inspire generations for serving the Nation in whatever capacity they can.
This programme was organized by Karan Singh, BJP District Vice President. Among those who paid tributes to Brig Rajinder Singh include Dinesh Gupta Corporator, Narinder Gupta Koki District Secretary, Rajinder Sikka, Anju Dogra, Rajesh Gupta, Rajinder Gupta, Surinder Anand, Anil Jandial, Ashok Kumar, Bhupender Verma, Vinod Gupta, Kartar Chand, Roshan Lal and Amit Kumar.
Meanwhile, Kavinder Gupta along with Vinay Gupta District President and party cadre conducted door to door campaign under BJP’s public outreach programme on the last day of ‘8 Saal Seva Sushasan Aur Garib Kalyan’ fortnight programme in Ward No 45 in Digiana and Ward No 46 in Sanjay Nagar areas of Jammu city.
Later, Kavinder also listened to the plights and problems of the local people and assured that he will take up the matters raised by them before concerned quarters for early redressal.
Among those who accompanied the former deputy Chief Minister include Bharat Bhushan Mandal President, Sat Chowdhary District Vice President, Y.V Sharma, Sangeeta Sharma, Meetu Sharma, Poonam Devi, Vinod Kumar, Ashwani Kumar, Rajni Gupta, Tilak Chowdhary and Meena Devi.
