JAMMU: Commissioner Secretary PHE, I&FC, Dr Pawan Kotwal on Wednesday inaugurated India Water Week 2015, Hamara Jal Hamara Jeevan on the theme ‘Water Management for Sustainable Development’ here at Institute of Engineers, Channi Himmat.
In this connection, a function was organised by the Central Water Commission, CCDU unit of PHE, I&FC Department, District Water Sanitation Mission and Central Ground Water Commission under the aegis of Ministry of Water Resources, River Management and Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India through Programme Implementation Agency, Jaipur Seva Foundation.
Others present on the occasion were K.K Gupta Chief Engineer RTIC, H.C Jerath Chief Engineer I&FC, Sushil Aima Chief Engineer PHE Jammu, R.K Bhagat Regional Director Central Ground Water Commission, Sumir Kumar Shukla, Director Central Water Commission, Dr Narinder Bhatial Executive Director CCDU, Sushil Kumar Project Manager Integrated Water Shed Scheme, Rural Development Department and Engineers from the Department of PHE I&FC and Rural Development.
Similarly, a programme was organised at District Kupwara which was inaugurated by DDC Kupwara, Itrat Rafiqui in the presence of Ghulam Rasool Mir, Additional Secretary PHE.
