India beats Philippines in 14th Asian Women’s U-18 Volleyball

JAMMU: India defeated Philippines 3-1 in the opening match of the 14th Asian Women’s U-18 Volleyball Championship being held in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand, a VFI release said on Monday.
As per report reaching here, India women spikers had to work hard for the 14-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-19 victory. Indian Captain Kavita, Rajnandani & Raksha have performed extraordinary and beat Philippines team, it stated. India shall meet Japan in its next match tomorrow at 12.30 PM.
Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta, Member of Parliament & President, Volleyball Federation of India and other office bearers congratulated to all players of the Indian team.
Chief Patron Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir, Raj Daluja, President, Sidharth Daluja, Chief Executive Officer Kuldeep Magotra besides other office bearers also congratulated the team for their excellent performance in the opening match of Championship an wished them best of luck for future matches.
