Our civil society is passing through a difficult phase with sudden eruption of crimes in large scales in the society, which has destroyed the fibre of peaceful co-existence and there is grave threatening to the survival of civil society.  Lawlessness is the order of the day, whosoever and whatever may be pointed out as reason for the same in order to shift and fix the responsibilities. Question in the present day scenario, is not as to who is responsible for the mess, chaos, lawlessness but as to what way this mess can be cleared.
The country is facing for more serious threats from and within the enemies sitting across borders. The crimes scene in the country is providing the fodder in the outer enemies to make all efforts to the threats to destabilise the increasing power of the country by exploiting the criminals and the people who are laws breakers. The threats so being imposed by these laws breaker organisations, are of grave danger to the integrity and unity of the country as also to; peaceful survival with each day passing, the threats of organised criminals, the threats of corruption, the threats of Naxalism, the threats of communalism, the threat of terrorism, the threat of nepotism, favoritism, gender bias etc are required to be contained.
With crime graphs going up sharply each passing day, the faith of public in the existing system including the police organisation is coming down sharply, confidence of society as is its lower ebbs on crime control, crime; prevention and justice delivery system. Whatever little faith society had in the system, has suffered with serious allegations not even sparing the people who were once seen as crusader against injustice or the people. Can orderly society be even imagined with allegation being leveled with certain proofs prime facie against Godman.
And recently bold and courageous example has been exhibited when girls traveling in a bus have a scuffle with some boys traveling in the same bus and have given a befitting reply when they have a fight with those boys and instead of appreciating the boldness which the said girls have, some persons took favour of those boys on the one or other pretext which is very condemnable and against the increasing crimes against the women.
To meet the challenge of prevailing anti-social elements, anti-terrorism, eradication of corruptions and poverty and similar other un-lawful activities, the society is facing in the present context requires establishment of a Socialistic Pattern of Society, the aim of which should be “Welfare State” as envisaged in the Constitution. The Constitution further seeks to achieve the dignity of the individual by guaranteeing equal fundamental rights as well as fundamental duties in terms of Directive Principle of State Policy.
How we can forget the atrocity meted out with the girl on 16th of December 2012 regarding the rape with that 23 years girl ?
In March 2014, before the General Election when the death penalty was awarded by the Court to three gang rapists of Bombay, the statement given by Mulyam Singh Yadav  (SP Supremo) on 10th  April 2014,  that “the young boys usually commit rape and commit mistake” and further his statement that “We will change the law once we come into power” was very shocking. It sought criticism and comments from many quarters with the result that SP lost the general election. Similarly the statement given by Arun Jately, holding an important portfolio in the Centre, who has given the statement, was entirely against the status of women and there was great protest from the women and all sections of the society, as it has affected the morale of women.
How the public can believe the government and those ministers claiming to stop the crimes against the women. The courage shown by Mamta Yadav who was harassed by a son of  Minister of SP but she faced the culprit boldly, was realy commendable as has been lauded by all sections of the society, shown on TV by channel on 24th August 2014. Similarly the heinous act done by a driver in Delhi on 5th Secember 2014, is another act of atrocity meted out with the women.
All the organisations, NGOs and civil societies, all forming part of the modern India, should have deep thought over the above said increasing crimes /problems in the society.
