JAMMU: Rafiq-Ul-Hassan, DIG, Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, exhorted upon the officers for early finalisation of NDPS Act cases.
Chairing crime review meeting of Police Station Nowabad here on Monday, DIG discussed the case files pertaining to heinous crimes and NDPS Act with the investigating officers of Sub Division West and directed them for early finalisation of the cases.
DIG also reviewed the backlog as well as fresh cases and issued necessary directions for prompt disposal of under investigation cases, so that justice is delivered to the people on ground and also directed that pending trial cases must be completed on priority.
The territorial officers were also directed for taking preventive and detective measures in order to minimise regular thefts to ensure patrolling for night domination in area. He also reviewed undetected cases of murder registered in the Sub Division.
All the officers were directed to take steps and adopt measures to prevent such types of crimes by way of increasing Naka and patrolling especially during night.
All the Investigating Officers were directed to raise their competence level and performance especially on NDPS Act cases, heinous crime and accidental cases.
Dr Vinod Kumar, SP City North Jammu, Parshotam Sharma, DDP RPHQ Jammu, Sunita Kargotra, CPO RPHQ Jammu and Pranav Mahajan SDPO West, were also present.
