Incessant rains: Control room setup

RAJOURI: Following heavy rains in the District, Rajouri, District administration has issued flood warning asking people not to venture near the river.
Deputy Commissioner, Jitendra Kumar Singh said that the district administration has geared up its machinery to meet any eventuality and pointed out that civil defence, police, red cross and disaster management teams have been told to be well prepared to meet any emergency situation.
Jitendra said an emergency relief cell has been created in the DC office. He appealed to the people to call at telephone 01962262244 in view of flood threat or other emergency so that quick preventive action could be taken. A rescue team headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Salim Malik has also been constituted to ensure the safety of local people.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner has ordered that all the educational institutions, government and private would remain closed on 4th and 5th September.
RAMBAN: In view of the incessant rains district administration Ramban has established a control room at district headquarters with telephone no. 01998266701 and Toll free No. 18001807069.
All the Sub Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars have been ordered not to leave their headquarters.
