SRINAGAR: Minister for Revenue, Javed Mustafa Mir has asked the authorities of education department to rationalise the teaching staff in educational institutions so that the education of students, mostly belonging to poor families, does not suffer.  He asked the authorities to take necessary corrective and result originated measures for setting the education system right.

The minister was reviewing the functioning of educational institutions operating in Chadura constituency and available facilities at an officers meeting here on Thursday.

Expressing displeasure over the existing system in the offices of Education Department of the district, the minister said that stern action needs to be taken against those who are responsible for spoiling the system.

He asked the officers to repatriate the teaching staff shifted earlier from the educational institutions of the constituency to other areas so that the education of the poor students, enrolled there, is resumed.

He said it is our duty to improve the educational standards in the Govt. run schools as these cater to the needs of the poor of the society.
