It is strongly condemned the forceful imposition of Kashmiri language in Jammu colleges. My question to Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon (Commissioner / Secretary Higher Education Department) if Kashmiri is getting neglected, you are promoting the language. Dogri is also getting neglected. Anything the Govt. has gone to promote Dogri language?
We are not against Kashmiri language, but a choice should be given to the student whether to choose Kashmiri or Dogri language for their study. The best universities in the world give choice to the students, to choose their subjects as per their wishes. It was a shock to most of the people of Jammu that their mother tongue is getting neglected. Universities should not be used for dirty politics as they are temple of higher education.
Jammu, from the past years is getting neglected, but why the people sitting on the decision making process cannot see this? Education always teaches us to be impartial and work for the welfare of the society. It is a very polite request to the Dr. Jitendra Singh, Dr. Karan Singh and other higher authorities to look into this matter very seriously and try to promote the Dogri language.
