Implement 7th Pay Panel or face consequences: Agri employees

JAMMU: All J&K Agriculture Employees Association, Jammu Province, criticised Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti for asking its employees to wait for two more years for implementation of Seventh Pay Commission in the State. While refereeing to the Chief Minister’s statement that the financial position of the State is not sound, Association President, Uttam Chand Sharma and Chief Spokesperson, Amrik Singh in a meeting held here on Thursday, asked Chief Minister then why the government has enhanced the salaries/pensions of Legislators / Ex. Legislators to almost double, which has created huge financial Liabilities on the State Exchequer. The participants, who attended the meeting, appealed to the Chief Minister to implement Seventh Pay Commission without forcing the employees to resort to any kind of struggle. Among those who attended the meeting include Naresh Kumar Sharma, Secretary; Pawan Singh, Member; Zaffar Ulla Khan, Chairman; Keshav Singh, Driver Union President; S. Dilbagh Singh, Member; Tarlok Singh, Member; Narinder Singh, President Poonch District and Inderjeet Singh, President Kathua District.
