JAMMU: All J and K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) described the release of two D.A installments by the government from July 2016 and January 2017 as partial victory of long drawn persistent and protracted struggle waged by the employees, pensioners and other sections under the banner of Federation.
in a statement issued here on Monday, Federation President, Abdul Majid Khan said that impounding the D.A arrears in G.P Fund Accounts of employees describing it as quite unfair or not justified at all and said the arrears also should have been paid in cash as has been done by the Central Government in respect of its employees.
Khan made a strong plea to the government for expeditious implementation of Seventh CPC’s recommendations on pattern of Central Government, enhance medical allowance, revision on Minimum Daily Wage to Rs. 350, remuneration of village guards at par with MDW, substantial raise in honorarium of Numberdars, Anganwari workers, helpers, ReT Teachers etc. in order to provide them some relief from the hardships they are facing due to rapidly rising prices of essential goods of daily consumption at the earliest.
