Impersonator arrested by police; allegedly involved in threatening people by wearing the uniform of DySP

JAMMU: Channi Himmat Police on Thursday arrested an impersonator who was allegedly involved in threatening people on National Highway by wearing the uniform of DySP.
According to Police, one impersonator namely Mushtaq Ahmed Seyaal, son of Abdul Rashid Seyaal, resident of Teli Basti Bari Brahmana was apprehended during a special Naka laid under the supervision of SHO Channi Himmat Aejaz Wani at Stadium Morh Channi. At the time of arrest, he was attired in the uniform of DySP. The police have seized the uniform and a case vide FIR No. 100 under relevant sections of law has been registered in the Police Station Channi Himmat.
Police said that more arrests are likely to be made as involvement of more people is not ruled out. The operation was conducted under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq Manhas, SP South Rahul Malik and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
