JAMMU: Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF), New Delhi, the apex body for surface adventure sports in the country, shall be organizing a number of mountaineering expeditions, both for men and women, during the next (2014-15) year.
“Only qualified and competent climbers who have successfully completed at least advance course in mountaineering and have participated in some mountaineering expeditions are only eligible for selection for various expeditions,” General Secretary of J and K Mountaineering Association and North Zone Committee, according to Ram Khajuria.
All these expeditions shall be sponsored and organized by the IMF during pre-monsoon and post-monsoon periods.
Names of the peaks and schedule of expeditions shall be communicated to the selected candidates as and when finalized by the IMF, New Delhi.
