REASI: Police on Thursday arrested a person and recovered one bottle of illicit liquor and 25 litres Lahan from his house.
According to a report, acting on a specific information, a police party led by Inspector Arvind Sambyal, SHO Police Station Arnas conducted a raid in the house of one Suram Singh son of Durga Dass resident of Judda (B) Tehsil Arnas District Reasi who was indulging in manufacturing of illicit liquor.
During search one bottle of illicit liquor, 25 litres Lahan and material for preparation of illegal Desi liquor was recovered from his possession. After completing all codal formalities the Lahan was destroyed on spot. The accused person was arrested and liquor along with materials for preparation of illicit Desi liquor was seized. A case vide FIR No. 29/2016 under section 48-E Excise Act was registered at Police Station Arnas.
