SRINAGAR: IGP of CRPF, Atul Karwal and IG of BSF, Kashmir, Dr. Jagat Singh called on Governor, N.N Vohra here on Monday.
Karwal and Dr. Singh briefed the Governor about the arrangements being made by their respective Forces to support the smooth conduct of the ensuing Shri Amarnath Yatra and to maintain a secure environment.
Meanwhile, SP Anantnag, Abdul Jabbar and SP Ganderbal, Imtiaz Ismail Parray also called on the Governor.
The Governor, who is the Chairman of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, was briefed by the two Police officers about issues relating to the conduct of the ensuing Shri Amarnath Yatra. Jitendra K. Singh, Addl. Chief Executive Officer of the Shrine Board was also present during the discussions.
The Governor advised the SPs to ensure effective maintenance of law and order during the Yatra alongside facilitation of the pilgrims.
Later, Principal Secretary Home, B.R Sharma also called on the and discussed several issues relating to the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Yatra and certain matters relating to the functioning of the Rajya Sainik Board.
