JAMMU: Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, has felicitated all citizens of Jammu Province, Police personnel and their families on the eve of Deepavali.
In his message IGP Jammu said that Deepavali symbolises the triumph of good over evil, of light over darkness, of truth over untruth.
“May the noble ideals of the festival prevail usher in peace, prosperity and happiness in our lives”.
He further said that the occasion teaches us to rededicate ourselves for the service of people, reaffirm our commitment towards brotherhood and selfless service to humanity.
IGP Jammu Zone has also prayed for peace and prosperity of the UT J&K. “Let’s celebrate real Deepavali by spreading happiness”, not pollution; he added.
Moreover, IGP Jammu Anand Jain, made an appeal to the people of Jammu province to help the Police in maintaining highest level of security during the festivities by keeping a close eye on any suspicious object or vehicle or person and if noticed report the same to the nearest police personnel or police picket.
