JAMMU: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, on Sunday flagged off special Olympics Athletes for participating in North Zone Sports Event of Special Olympics Bharat at Chandigarh with effect from December 11 to 13, 2023. The competition is Organised by special Olympics Bharat Himachal Pradesh Chapter and special Olympics Chandigarh Chapter.
In an impressive function at DPL Jammu this afternoon, Chief Guest, IGP Jammu Zone Anand Jain flagged off the contingent of special athletes with warm wishes to bring laurels to the Union Territory of J&K .
While interacting with the Special Olympics Athletes, the IGP encouraged them and advised them to participate in the events with enthusiasm and full vigour. He wished them a very happy and safe journey.
The Specially abled athletes are representing JK UT in three days at Chandigarh and they will participate in sports ,dance, music ,medication and health check-up.
DIG Jammu JKS Range Shakti Pathak, SSP Jammu Dr. Vinod Kumar, and other dignitaries also blessed the special athletes.
