JAMMU: Inspector General of Police Jammu, Bhim Sen Tuti, chaired the Annual Crime Review Meeting cum comprehensive review of the Goals and Targets set for the Financial Year 2025-26 at the Conference Hall of Zonal Police Headquarters (ZPHQ) Jammu. The meeting was attended by all Range DIGs, District SSsP, SSP PCR, Staff Officer to IGP Jammu, and SSP Spl Ops & Trg.
The meeting was convened to assess the progress and compliance status of various targets that had been set in April last year, covering a wide spectrum of subjects including counter-terror operations, crime control, investigation, training, capacity building, administrative efficiency, and community policing initiatives.
During the meeting, District SSPs made detailed presentations on the current status of compliance with respect to the different goals and targets assigned to their respective districts. The presentations highlighted achievements, challenges, and ongoing efforts in operations, crime prevention, investigation quality, training activities, intelligence inputs, and public outreach programmes.
The IGP underscored the necessity of intensified efforts in counter-terror operations, crime prevention, professional investigations, and the effective utilisation of technology-driven policing tools. He also highlighted the critical role of intelligence-led policing and coordinated inter-district action to ensure sustained peace, stability, and security across the Jammu Zone.
The meeting also reviewed the performance of the first three quarters of the current financial year, and specific directions were issued to all districts to ensure timely achievement of the pending targets during the last quarter of FY 2025-26.
The meeting further reviewed aspects of administrative efficiency, discipline, infrastructure maintenance, and internal management practices to ensure optimal functioning of police units and improved service delivery to the public.
