IGP holds Darbar of retired NGOs of Police Department

JAMMU: Dr. S.D Singh, Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, held a Darbar of Retired NGOs of Police Department here at District Police Lines on Saturday.
About 150 retired NGOs from all the districts of Jammu province including few from Kashmir province participated in the Darbar.
During the Darbar, various issues were raised by the retiree NGOs which mostly were related to their long pending demands i.e. fixation of pay and release of the same with its retrospective effect, providing of better medical facilities in Police Hospital at Jammu/Srinagar, reimbursement of medical bills for the retired police personnel, cashless health care policy to the retiree on the pattern of para military forces and army, reservation to the ward of police personnel during recruitment in Police Department/ Govt. job, extension of CSD canteen facilities at district level, One rank one pension on the pattern of Army etc to which a patient hearing was given by the IGP Jammu Zone, Jammu. The IGP assured the retired police officials that their demands will be taken up at the appropriate level for their redressal in a time bound manner.
DIG JSK Range, Rafeeq-Ul-Hassan, SSP Jammu, Vivek Gupta, Rajesh Kumar SSP (SO to IGP Jammu Zone), Sandeep Choudhary SP City South and Ajit Singh J&K Retired Police (Non Gazetted) and other welfare forum and district presidents of all the 10 districts of Jammu including Kashmir Valley.
