JAMMU: Shiv Sena ( Bala Sahib Thackery) State Chief Dimpy Kohli criticised Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for their undue action against poor Rehriwalas on the plea of avoiding congestion in the city.
In the meeting of party workers at Jammu, Dimpy Kohli said that JMC officers are targeting the poor Rehriwalas on plea to avoid congestion in the city but only by containing Rehris the traffic congestion cannot be removed.
He said JMC is working under the influence of its masters in the Government viz. elected BJP MLAs who are least concerned about one lakh dwellers whose livelihood is dependent on selling goods on Rehris.
He suggested that JMC should opt for other measures also to reduce congestion from the city roads as Rehris are not the only source hampering the smooth flow traffic.
He said that this is inhumane to damage the goods of poor Rehriwalas who are toiling hard to earn livelihood during torrid weather conditions.
He said that JMC’s Rehri Zones are not acceptable to these Rehriwalas and JMC should give them some lucrative offer to resolve the issue.
Dimpy alleged that on the one hand many buildings are coming up in the city without proper permission and to divert the attention of people from this vital issue involving the elite, JMC is targeting poor and vulnerable Rehriwalas.
