IAF’s Western Command chief visits J&K’s forward areas

JAMMU: IAF’s Western Command chief C Hari Kumar has visited troops deployed in areas along the Indo-Pak border and asked them to maintain a high level of vigil.
The air marshal made a one-day visit to the Air Force Station here yesterday after which he went to the forward areas, a defence spokesman said on Wednesday.
He visited the troops and field commanders of units deployed at forward areas and appreciated their high morale and operational readiness. The air marshal also inaugurated a state of the art gymnasium.
The air officer commanding-in-chief of the Western Air Command expressed satisfaction at the operational and administrative aspects of functioning of the air force station.
Kumar appreciated the professionalism of the personnel and exhorted them to constantly strive to achieve even higher standards.
He was accompanied by Devika Hari Kumar, president of Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional), Western Air Command.
