I-Day: Full Dress Rehearsals held across J&K

JAMMU/SRINAGAR: The full dress rehearsal for celebration of Independence Day 2023 was held on Sunday at Mulana Azad (M.A) Stadium Jammu with enthusiasm and Patriotic fervour.
The contingents of CRPF, JKP, SSB, NCC cadets, Forest, Fire Services and other departments, besides children of different schools presented an impressive March past.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar unfurled the nation flag, inspected the parade and saluted the March Past.
School children and artists of J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages presented a colorful cultural programme featuring theme based presentations which mesmerized the audience.
The cultural items depicted communal harmony and composite culture of Jammu Kashmir UT, Government initiatives besides featuring patriotic based presentations, folk music and dance.
Among others present were Additional Director General of Police, Mukesh Singh; DIG, Shakti Pathak; Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Avny Lavasa; Commissioner JMC, Rahul Yadav; Joint Director Information, Atul Gupta; ADCs besides Heads of different Departments and other civil and police Officers.
At Kathua, the full dress rehearsal for 77th Independence Day was held in Kathua at Sports Stadium where contingents of Police, CRPF, Army, NCC cadets presented the march past.
The rehearsal started with hoisting of National Flag by Deputy Commissioner, Rakesh Minhas followed by inspection of the parade.
SSP Kathua, Shivdeep Singh Jamwal, ADC Ranjit Singh, besides other officers of district administration were also present on the occasion.
At Rajouri, the spirit of patriotism and national pride filled the air as Rajouri conducted a successful full dress rehearsal for the Independence Day Celebrations. Under the overall supervision of District Magistrate Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, the district witnessed an impeccable display of discipline and unity.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria inspected the parade held at the District Police Lines, Police, CRPF, Forest Protection Force, NCC, and students from different educational institutions presented an impressive.
Addl. SP, Vivek Shekhar; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Imran Rashid Kataria; Chief Education Officer, Sultana Kouser and other civil and police officers were also present.
At Samba, the Rani Suchait Singh Sports Stadium came alive amid Full Dress Rehearsal. ADC Suresh Chander Sharma inspected the parade, hoisted the national flag, and took salute at the march past setting a solemn and unified tone for the occasion.
Senior Superintendent of Police Benam Tosh and other District and Sectoral Officers highlighted the event’s importance in fostering a sense of togetherness and shared purpose.
At Doda, the full dress rehearsal for Independence Day celebration was held at Sports Stadium Doda.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. R K Bharti hoisted the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past comprising contingents of JKP, IRP 5th Bn, SSB, FPF, Home Guard, Schools children, NCC Senior and Junior wing, and District Police band.
SSP, Abdul Qayoom and other civil and Police Officers were also present at the program. The SSP directed some minor rectifications in the March past parade.
ASP Hq, DIO DIPR, DYSSO, Dy SP DAR, CAO, Cultural Officer, besides other senior officers of Police and Civil Administration were also present on the occasion.
Similarly, full dress rehearsal for Independence Day celebrations was held at New Bus Stand Bhaderwah. ADC Chowdhary Dil Mir hoisted the Tricolour and took salute at the March past.
At Ramban full Dress Rehearsal for 77th Independence Day celebrations was held with patriotic spirit at District Police Lines Ramban. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal Sharma unfurled the National Flag and inspected the parade comprising contingents of Police, IRP, Home Guard, Forest Protection Forces, and school children. A cultural program highlighting the composite culture and the theme ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ was also presented.
Additional SP, Gourav Mahajan; ACR Giasul Haq, and other officers were also present. The stage proceedings were ably conducted by Ranjay Kumar and Ruhi Kundal.
At Udhampur, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Joginder Singh Jasrotia took salute at an impressive march past comprising contingents of J&K Police, ITBP, SKPA, Volunteers Home Guard, NCC and Police Band.
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Senior Superintendent of Police, Dr Vinod Kumar, ACR, Rafiq Ahmed Jaral, besides district heads of various departments were also present to witness the full dress rehearsal.
At Reasi, the full dress rehearsal in connection with the celebrations of 77th Independence Day, 2023 was held with great enthusiasm here at General Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium, Reasi today.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Abdul Sattar hoisted the tri-colour and took salute at an impressive march past contingents drawn from Police, CRPF, platoons of NCC cadets besides formation of Police Band.
At Kishtwar, the full dress rehearsal for the main programme of Independence Day Parade, 2023 was held today at Chowgan Ground Kishtwar amid all necessary arrangements.
Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Sham Lal Sharma accompanied by Addl. SP Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh hoisted the National Flag, took salute from parade commander, contingents and inspected the parade of contingents. The parade was commanded by Dy.SP Vishal Sharma.
The 35 contingents that participated in the March past parade included Police, JKAP, CRPF, CISF, IRP, Forest Protection Force, NCC and student contingents from schools of District Kishtwar.
SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Ahmed Poswal, ADC Kishtwar Inderjeet Singh Parihar, ACR Varunjeet Singh Charak, ACD Manoj Kumar, DPO Sunil Bhutyal, Tehsildar Kishtwar Muneeb Umar, Dy SP HQ Ishan Gupta, Dy. SP DAR Sajjad Khan, DIO Kishtwar/State Taxes Officer Maneet Sharma, CEO Kishtwar Prehlad Bhagat, DYSSO Kishtwar Kharati Lal Sharma and other officers of Police/Civil administration also attended the full dress rehearsal.
At Poonch, full dress rehearsal for the Independence Day celebrations was held at the Sports Stadium Poonch.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Vinay Kumar, Deputy Director Employment, Rafiq Ahmed, District Information Officer, Ayaz Ahmed Bhat, DYSSO, Mohd. Qasim, CEPO, Narinder Mohan Suri, Master of Ceremony, Pardeep Khanna and Vijay Kumar (PEM) besides officers from civil and police administration were present on the occasion.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Tahir Mustafa Malik hoisted the National Flag, took salute at the march past and inspected the parade.
During the parade inspection, DYSP Operation Aijaz Ahmed accompanied the Additional Deputy Commissioner.
DYSP DAR, Mohd. Shafiq, served as the Parade Commander, while Inspector Mudsar Ali acted as the 2nd in Commandant.
In Srinagar, the full dress rehearsal was held at Bakhshi Stadium, Srinagar, where Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri hoisted the National Flag over the mast at the podium amid the reverberating National Anthem.
The Div Com inspected the parade, took salute at the march past presented by various police and paramilitary contingents, NCC Cadets and students.
ADGP Kashmir, IGP Central Kashmir Srinagar, DC Srinagar, SSP Srinagar, officers of District administration and HoDs of civil departments were present on the occasion.
On the occasion, students from different schools of Srinagar and artists showcased colourful cultural presentations based on patriotic songs displaying the spectrum of unity in diversity and integrity of the nation.
Meanwhile, Div Com also extended an open invitation to the general public for attending the main event on 15th August with a request to be seated in the stadium by 9 am on Independence Day.
At Anantnag, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Bashir Ahmad Wani hoisted the national flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents from CRPF, J&K Police, Home Guards, NCC and school children at GDC Boys Anantnag.
Among others, ADC, SP, ADC (G), CEO, CMO, ACD, ACP, ACR, Ex. Engineer R&B, Flood, ARTO, Tehsildar Anantnag, officers from civil and police were present at the event.
At Baramulla, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Baramulla, Aijaz Abdullah Saraf hoisted the tricolor and took salute at the March-past presented by the contingents of J&K Police, CRPF, Home guards, Fire and Emergency services, NCC and students from different schools at District Police Lines.
Meanwhile, similar rehearsal functions were also held at all Subdivisions and Tehsil Headquarters of the district.
At Budgam, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Budgam, Dr. Akramullah Tak hoisted the National flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of Police, JKAP, CRPF, NCC & Student contingents from various schools of district at Sports Stadium Budgam.
ADC Budgam, Dr. Nasir; ASP Budgam, Head of Departments of all line departments, senior police officers, students, media persons besides officers of CRPF and other security agencies were present on the occasion.
At Pulwama, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Dr Ab Aziz Sheikh hoisted the National Flag and took salute at the march past presented by contingents from CRPF, District Police, Womens wing JKP, Home guard and school children at District Police Line Pulwama.
Senior officers from civil and police administration, school children and a large number of people were present on the occasion.
Similar functions were also held at DPL Awantipora where ADC Awantipora, Zaffar Ahmad Shawl hoisted the flag and took salute at the march past.
The celebrations of Independence Day under the ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign are also being held across the district at various places.
A mega Tiranga rally was taken out from District Headquarters Pulwama to District Police Lines Pulwama and culminated back at District Headquarters in the wee hours. The rally was attended by school children, NCC cadets, Police and Paramilitary forces.
At Kulgam, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Showkat Ahmad Rather hoisted the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of J&K Police, CRPF, Women Police, Home Guard, Police band, students from schools and other contingents at District Police Lines (DPL), here.
Cultural programmes were also presented on the occasion by the students and artists.
ADC, Vikar Ahmad Giri, ACR, Addl. SP and other officers from civil and police administration besides locals, students and employees participated in the function.
At Bandipora, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Ali Afsar Khan hoisted the National flag and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents comprising JKP, CRPF, SPOs, NCC cadets and contingents from various schools at S. K Stadium Bandipora.
Among others, ASP Bandipora and senior officers of Civil Administration, police, Army, and paramilitary forces were also present at the full dress rehearsal.
The full dress rehearsal function was also held at Mini Secretariat Bandipora, where ADC Bandipora Umar Shafi Pandit hoisted the flag.
Similar functions of full dress rehearsal were also held at Sub Division Sumbal and Gurez, where respective Tehsildars unfurled the flag.
The full dress rehearsal functions were also held across the district at Block Level, panchayat level, and in all Schools and Colleges.
At Ganderbal, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah hoisted the tricolor, inspected the parade and took the salute at the march-past presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, SSB, PTS Manigam, Forest Protection Force, District Police, Fire and Emergency Services and students of various schools at Qamriya Ground Ganderbal.
ASP Ganderbal, CPO, Executive Engineers of R&B, Jal Shakti besides other district officers from civil and police department were present at the event.
At Kupwara, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat hoisted the National Flag and took salute at the March-past presented by contingents of JKP, IRP, CRPF, FPP, JK Home Guards, Police Commandos and School Children at District Police Lines Kupwara.
Later, variety cultural programmes were presented by students from different schools on the occasion. Among others, District Officers and officials were present on the occasion.
Full dress rehearsal functions were also held at Handwara, Karnah and Sogam sub divisions.
At Shopian, the Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Shahbaz Ahmed Bodha hoisted the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute from the contingents of District Executive Police, CRPF, JKAP, Fire & Emergency, Homeguards, NCC and students from different schools of the district at District Police Lines (DPL), Shopian.
DPO Poshan Abhiyan, SDM, Zainapora, ASP Shopian and district heads of different departments were also present on the occasion, besides hundreds of employees, general public and students.
