Hunger strike by BJP leader Narayan Dutt for ticket
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Narayan
Dutt Tripathi on Thursday went on hunger strike in front of
Press Club Jammu to highlight not giving ticket from
Billawar Constituency.
He said on the assurance of State BJP leadership, he took
voluntary retirement from government job and joined the
party.
He said he has held more than 500 meetings and six
rallies in the Billawar constituency which resulted getting
thousands joining the party fold.
He said so many times he met party High Command and
apprised them of various programmes done by him and
they in turn appreciated his efforts. Terming the whole
incidence as unfortunate, he alleged large scale favoritism
in the declaration of ticket in Billawar constituency. He said
party High Command neither saw ground reality nor
popularity of the candidate during the distribution of
tickets.
