BARI BRAHMANA: Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, celebrated 33rd Annual Day “Kaleidoscope of Colours” in its school campus with enthusiasm and fervour.
Chairman, J and K State Board of School Education, Dr. Nutan K. Resutra was the Chief Guest while Chairman RM Charitable and Educational Trust, Rameshwar Mengi was the Guest of Honour, former Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Sharad Khajuria and Additional Secretary Transport Department, Rajkumar Katoch were the special guests.
The function was presided by District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Samba, Subash Chander Bhardwaj.
They were welcomed by the Principal of the Institution, Gaurav Charak, Vice-Principal Anku Charak, Akashdeep Raina (Incharge HPS) and Nitin Jamwal.
The students were also part of the welcome party. The function was also graced by Assistant Secretary J and K BOSE Branch Vijaypur, Pritam Singh, Junior Engineers PWD, Gagandeep Singh and Manish Kumar, Managing Director Sharma Book Center, Digiana, Vikas Sharma, principals and headmasters of government as well as private schools of Bari Brahmana.
The kaleidoscope of colours was started with lighting of the traditional lamp. The girls of class of 7th and 8th performed Ganesh Vandana which was followed by the cultural activities like Dogri Dance, Lavani Dance, Gidda, Kids Dance, Barbie Dance, Martial Arts, Jalwa, Fusion, Musical Gurbaani, Skit, Solo and Group Songs etc.
The Chief Guest and Guest of Honours felicitated the achievers in academic, sports and cultural activities.
Vice Principal, Anku Gaurav Charak presented the welcome address.
Principal of the school, Gaurav Charak presented the Annual Report of the school highlighting the mile-stones crossed by the school in its educational journey with the students receiving laurels and accolades in almost every field.
He also assured the audience that he along with the staff of the school will leave no stone unturned in providing high quality education to students.
Seema Charak (KG-Wing), Nitu (Primary-Wing) and Sapna (Senior Wing) were declared as Best Teachers of the Session 2014-15.
Prizes were also given to teachers whose students excelled in co-curricular activities.
The Best House trophy went to Prithvi House. The Best Parents award went to Rishi Singh and Anu Devi, Parveen Sharma and Anku Devi, Rajesh Jamwal and Kamlesh Rani and Subash Chander and Rita Bala. The Best Grandparent award went to Pritam Chand.
Sanjay Attri, student of 9th class got trophy along with a cash prize of 2,100 for securing position in middle standard board examination while Shivanand and Shivangi Roojam of 9th class were also given mementoes for securing above 90 per cent marks in the eighth class board exams. Tania Sharma, Simmi Yadav and Bawa Ditta of 10th class were also felicitated with trophies and certificates for securing excellent marks in the matriculation board exams.
Chief Guest commended the staff and students of HPS for putting tremendous efforts to make the show a success. He appreciated the management of the school in their vision for imparting high quality education in the school.

Eminent dignitaries present on the occasion were Capt. G.S Charak (Chairman of the School), Meera Charak (Chairperson of the School), Naar Singh (President, Labour Union, J and K State), Inderpal Singh, Surinder, Akashmaan and Pawan Kumar.
The stage was maintained by Sandeep Zutshi, Rekha Mehra, Amita Choudhary, Sapna along with the students Anuradha, Subani, Itika and Shivani.
The cultural programme was choreographed by Deepak Mehra along with Kanchan Chalotra.
