BARI BRAHMANA: The students of Humanity Public School (HPS), Bassi Kalan participated in the 12th National Matsogi-Do Championship 2016 held at Ambedkar Stadium, Bijapur, Karnataka recently.
The championship was organised by the Karnataka Matsogi-do Association collaboration with Matsogi-do Federation of India. About 590 students participated in this Championship.
A total of 12 students of HPS participated in under -17 and under-14 (boys and girls) in different events.
Medal winners in Sparring Events: Navjot Verma (class 9th), Mansi Lalotra (class 9th) and Shifali Attri (class 7th) Gold and Sofia Malik (class 4th) silver.
Team Sparring Events: Navjyot (class 9th), Mansi Lalotra (class 9th), Shifali Attri (class 7th) and Deepak Kumar (class 7th) gold.
In Group Tuls Events: Navjyot (class 9th), Mansi Lalotra (class 9th ) and Shifali Attri (class 7th) Gold and Deepak Kumar (class 7th) and Sofia Malik ( class 4th) Silver.
Consolation prize winner: Vishal Kumar (class 6th), Aryan Charak (class 5th), Raghav Sadotra (class 5th), Danish Meenia (class 4th), Chetan Gold Rattan (class 2nd), Pranav Rajput (class 2nd ) and Jatin Bhagat (class 2nd).
The students of the school who participated in this championship were honoured in the special assembly by Gaurav Charak (Principal), Anku Charak (Vice Principal), Pankaj Kumar (Martial Art Coach), Nikhil Jaral (Coach) and Ajay Sharma (Sports Incharge) along with the staff members.
The principal also gave best wishes to the qualifying students for the First Matsogi-do Federation cup which is going to be held at Goa in the month of June 2017.
Principal said that the school management is paying focused attention to promote physical education in school and in this regard sports infrastructure has been upgraded in the school for providing platform to the students to take part in different sports activities at District, State, National and International Levels.
