BARI BRAHMANA: The students of Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan participated in the inter-school district level athletic meet 2014-15 and brought laurels to school by winning medals.
In all, 12 students of the school participated in under– 17 and under – 14 yrs (Girls).
In U-14, Yasmeen Akhtar of 8th standard won three Gold Medals in 100 mtr sprint, 200 mtr race and long jump while Sonia Yadav of 6th standard won silver medal in 600 mtr race and bronze medal in Shot-put.
In U-17, Neha Jaral of 9th standard won gold medal in long jump and bronze medal in 200 mtr race.
The Overall Winners Trophy of under-14 Girls Athletic Championship was also won by the students of the HPS.
The students of the school who participated in this Athletic Meet were honoured in the special assembly by Gaurav Charak (Principal), Anku Charak (Vice Principal), Mahan Singh (PTI), Surekha and Ajay Sharma (Sports Incharge) along with the staff members.
Principal said that the school management is paying focused attention to promote Physical Education in school and in this regard sports infrastructure will be upgraded in the school for providing platform to the students to take part in different sports activities at District, State and National Levels.
