SAMBA: Horticulture Department District Samba organised an awareness camp cum exposure visit of farmers within the district at village Bari Khad. More than 130 farmers and orchardists of district Samba attended the programme under ATMA. Director Horticulture Jammu Anuradha Gupta was the Chief Guest. During the programme Chief Horticulture Officer Samba C.L Sharma motivated the farmers for taking up horticulture as an activity to enhance their farm income. He also emphasised to cultivate fruit plants which can survive in Kandi areas and can give output to desired levels. Director Horticulture Jammu Anuradha Gupta interacted with the farmers and listened to their grievances. She took a deep note of constraints in horticulture in Kandi areas. Shreshtha Gaur, Horticulture Development Officer Purmandal, Dr Anju Bala Horticulture Development Officer Samba, Parminder Singh Horticulture Development Officer Vijaypur Nursery, Randhir Singh Parihar Horticulture Development Officer Vijaypur Extension were also present.
