JAMMU: Horizon Sports Club to face Vridhi Royals in the final of the ongoing T20 Christmas Celebrations Cup being organized by Sr. Cricketers/Members of Indian Cricket Association and KC Sports Club at KC Sports Club Ground, here on December 22 at 12:30 PM.
Today in the first match Horizon Sports Club defeated Vishal Cricket Club by 10 runs.
Batting first Horizon Sports Cricket Club scored 138 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Kaniya played a fine inning of 49 runs followed by Paras Sharma, who also played well and scored 42 runs. Akshit added 12 runs to the total.
For bowling side, Rajesh Gill grabbed four wickets, Vishavjeet took three and Bhanu took one wicket.
In reply, Vishal Club could not chase the target and managed to score 128 runs in 20 overs for the loss of nine wickets.
Vishvajeet Singh was the top scorer with 34 runs while Kartik and Shubam contributed 16 and 13 runs.
For bowling Side, Vishal claimed three wickets, Sant Baksh took two wickets While Savan, Ashish Singh and Paras got one each. For his all-round performance, Paras Sharma was adjudged as Man of the Match.
In another match, Vridhi Royals defeated Road & Safety XI by five wickets.
Batting first, Road & Safety XI scored 155 runs for the loss of ten wickets in 20 overs. Rohit, Sandeep and Yasir were the main scorers with 40, 32 and 25 runs.
For Vridhi Royals, Sanoop grabbed three wickets, Tegvansh claimed two wickets while Sannat, Jasbir and Gourav took one each.
In reply, Vridhi Royals chased the target in 19.5 overs for the loss of five wickets. Sanoop was the top scorer with 41 runs, Vinayak made 30 runs and Arya contributed 24 runs to the total. Sanoop was declared as Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
Today’s matches were officiated by Ashok, Sanju and Vijay.
