VIJAYPUR: MLA Vijaypur Surjit Singh Slathia on Sunday inaugurated newly constructed lanes and drains in the villages of Gagore Jamorian and Govindpuri which has been completed at a of Rs.8 lakh by Rural Development Department.
Slathia assured the people that the government is committed to provide basic amenities to the people of the area.
Later Slathia visited the flood affected area of Govindgarh and assured the people that every possible help shall be extended to them by the government like free ration and compensation for the loss of properties due to recent flood.
Addressing a large gathering Slathia said that the Coalition Government headed by Omar Abdullah is fully aware of people’s problems and is making all out efforts to fulfill their demands on priority. He reiterated the commitment of the Coalition Government to ensure holistic development of all the regions of the State with special focus on remote, far-flung and rural areas.
Slathia was given a warm welcome by the people on his arrival at the venue.
BDO Vijaypur, Panchs and Sarpanchs were present on the occasion.
