Hockey J&K distributes blankets among needy players

JAMMU: On the occasion of Christmas, Hockey Jammu and Kashmir distributed blankets to the 65 needy players of hockey at KK Hakku Stadium, here.
Dy. Director Sports Authority of India, Ashok Sharma was the Chief Guest on the occasion, who appreciated the role of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir in promoting hockey in J&K.
Working President, Hockey J&K, Rajiv Sharma said that earlier other than sporting material Hockey J&K distributed study materials among the needy players from time to time.
Dr. Taran Singh, while presenting vote of thanks, said that Hockey Jammu and Kashmir will keep on supporting hockey in Jammu and Kashmir through various modes.
He further added that hockey is a national game and it has great potential in Jammu and Kashmir. It needs special attention from government.
Others who spoke include Rajinder Singh Kuku Vice President Hockey Jammu and Kashmir.
