Himalayan Education Mission bags positions

RAJOURI: Himalayan Education Mission School Rajouri, one of the oldest schools of the Peer Panchal region, once again emerged as the leader in school education by leaving all the government and private schools of the area far behind in 12th class J and K Board results announced today.
A total of 420 students appeared from the institution in science and arts streams. The school exhibited superb performance by getting 82 per cent overall result, two positions at State level Farheena Khan (467/500) 93.4 per cent (5th Position) and Shazia Khush Qureshi (465/500) 93 per cent (6th Position), 88 Distinctions, 192 First Divisions and scores of state toppers in all science and arts subjects.
More than 30 students clinched top positions by getting above 90 per cent marks. Mohd Ibrar of Himalayan School who secured 476 marks with 95.2 per cent was just one mark short of 10th position in Science stream in Jammu Division Merit but he however remained overall topper in Rajouri in the said stream.
The jubilant students and parents extended congratulations to the teachers and management of the school for making quality education a reality in the remote border hilly area of Peer Panchal.
