JAMMU: All round performance from Hilal Rather on Thursday guided Simula XI to easy victory over Zaira Gladiators Kashmir in the ongoing First State level Cricket Tournament for Chief Minister’s Cup at Country Cricket Academy Ground, Gharota, here.
Batting first, Zaira Gladiators made 157 runs losing all their wickets in 42 overs. Gowhar and Mushtaq were main scorers with 25 and 20 runs in their respective accounts. For Simula, Hilal claimed four wickets while Shashi, Raman Dutta and Hardeep Singh shared apiece each.
In reply, Simula achieved the target in 25 overs losing four wickets. Hardeep Singh and Atul made fine half centuries scoring 60 and 53 runs respectively. Hilal Rather contributed 25 runs and was declared Man of the Match for his all round performance.
