Heroin worth Rs 15 cr smuggled from Pakistan seized
Border Security Force personnel today seized three kilograms of heroin, worth Rs 15 crore in the international market, which were allegedly smuggled from Pakistan.
BSF’s Deputy Inspector General, RPS Jaswal said that the seizure was made near a Border Out Post along the Indo-Pak border and has been smuggled from Pakistan.
“The night patrolling party of BSF troops deployed in the area heard a sound of something being thrown near the Border Out Post fence but no movement of persons could be observed due to thick fog and darkness in the wee hours today,” he said.
However, BSF patrolling party during the search of the area found three packets of heroin lying near the Indian side of Border Security fence track, Jaswal said.
The miscreants, who threw the packets, managed to escape back to Pakistan taking cover of darkness and foggy weather, he said. (Agency)
