Help the victims
Dear Editor,
The inability to take the initiative while in a crowd and its relation with one’s education has an interesting correlation. To put it crudely, the more educated you are, the more out of place you feel in a crowd, especially in small towns, paralysing your ability to take the initiative. Filming a person’s or a living being’s final moments seems heartless, but it seems to be the trend.
In a way, videos have some value – as evidence for the police. Therefore they can be utilised by the police who should also ensure that a Good Samaritan is not harassed. Felicitation of Good Samaritans by the local police and NGOs can help build confidence as well.
